The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) has applied to the U.S. government to acquire 59 acres of surplus Federal Center land in Lakewood for the purpose of providing services to people who are homeless, according to a statement presented to Lakewood City Council by CCH President and CEO John Parvensky on January 8. The land is immediately north of RTD’s light rail Federal Center Station.
The City of Lakewood is not involved in the transaction. The acquisition process is strictly between CCH and the federal government.
